About Us

Go2athlete.com empowers the athletic department of each college or university to control and monitor the career development and placement of their student-athletes using the latest web-based technologies. The rigorous demands of balancing academic responsibilities and the obligation to an athletic team often overlap with the career networking opportunities provided to the general student body, resulting in a gap in career opportunities. Go2athlete.com closes that gap by providing a safe, unique, and exclusive forum for schools seeking to develop their student-athletes for a professional career. Each site will be developed for and tailored to the specific member school. All site members will be verified by each participating school to ensure that they are a current or former athlete of that school. Access to athlete-members is controlled by the athletic department administration.

The site allows current and former student-athlete members to post their résumé and profile, generate network contacts among members, search and apply for internships and full-time positions, register for corporate information sessions, track career development requirements, and schedule interviews. In addition, the site allows the athletic career services to post career-development seminars and other events, monitor each student’s satisfaction of career-development requirements, and track job search results. Corporate recruiters, through the career development office, are able to post individual job positions, search résumés for pre-qualified candidates, select candidates for interviews, and schedule interviews. Further, the site allows the athletic department and student-athletes to maintain contact after graduation, increasing networking and fund-raising opportunities.
