NCAA Employer Compliance



Full-time employment for student-athletes to commence after graduation, and summer employment (between the end of the Spring semester and the beginning of the Fall semester) for current student-athletes does not require prior approval. However, student-athletes are asked to report summer employment information each Fall to the Athletics Compliance Office.

Employment for enrolled student-athletes (during the regular academic year) may not be arranged without the student-athlete first receiving prior approval from the Student-Athlete Services Office of Each University. Rules require that the student-athlete and the employer sign a written statement PRIOR to the commencement of employment confirming that the employment satisfies the conditions as stated in the NCAA manual. Compensation must be based on work actually performed and at a rate commensurate with the going rate in the locality for services of like character.
